The Chronicle of Higher Education lists MICA as a Fulbright Top Producer in the Oct. 29 edition. The College makes the cut for both the U.S. Fulbright Student and U.S. Fulbright Scholar programs. In the student category, MICA is tied for second place in its classification of specialty schools.
Four members of the MICA community won Fulbright Scholarships for the 2010/11 year. The awardees include: Jenny Mullins '09 (Hoffberger School of Painting), Ellyn Stokes '10 (printmaking), Elizabeth "Lizzy" Brooks '10 (M.F.A. in Photographic and Electronic Media) and photography faculty member Lynn Silverman.
In July, Baltimore Jewish Times previewed Silverman's Fulbright project, which involves documenting old Jewish cemeteries across the Czech Republic, in an article Czeching Things Out.
