Joyce J. Scott '70 (art education) accepted the United States Artist Award at Lincoln Center on Wednesday, Dec. 8. Through the US Artists Fellowship program, Scott will receive a very generous, unrestricted funding grant in 2011 as part of this prestigious honor. Each year, United States Artists honors 50 of America's finest artists with individual fellowships. Earlier this year, she was also the recipient of an esteemed Women's Caucus for the Arts Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2010. The award recognize the contributions made by women who have distinguished themselves by their activism and commitment to the women's movement and the arts.
