Vicki went over to visit some friends at their apartment one Saturday, bringing a box of donuts with her. Dan was there, she offered him a treat, and their mutual friend, Richard Cleaver '78, said "Watch out Dan. First it's a donut and who knows what will happen next."

So it all started with a donut. After dating for 13 years, they were married in 1991. Nineteen years later, they own an antique shop in Fells Point, Baltimore. Dan, an interior design major, is a senior space planner at a commercial design firm. Vicki, a graphic design major, is a clay sculptor and teacher at The Potter's Guild of Baltimore.
