MICA faculty member Jenny Carson received the prestigious Senior Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Her fellowship will begin in January 2012, through which she will conclude her research on "The Art and Studio of William Henry Rinehart."
Carson is a faculty member in MICA's art history department. It has been over sixty years since William Henry Rinehart, a MICA legacy and the subject of Carson's research, has been extensively studied. Her manuscript will examine Rinehart's life, studio and art, particularly investigating his work in Rome.
