Kim Michalak ’11 was accepted into the Printer Training program at the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, NM. The program is very competitive and will only accept eight students per year. Originally named Tamarind Lithography Workshop, it was founded in 1960 by June Wayne and now is a division of the College of Fine Arts of the University of New Mexico. The institute aims to restore the prestige of lithography by creating extraordinary prints and to produce master artisan-printers nationally by accepting apprentices.
MICA printmaking congratulates Kim Michalak.
