MICA illustration major Niv Bavarsky '10 and faculty member Jaime Zollars have each had one of their pieces accepted in the Communication Arts Illustration Annual, in the May/June issue (click here for a PDF). This professional illustration competition draws entries from across the United States and is highly competitive.
Bavarsky is the first MICA illustration student to have his or her work selected for the publication. His winning entry is a poster he illustrated, designed and handlettered for the MICA Halloween dance. To see more of Bavarsky's work, click here. Zollars' winning image, The Maze, She Breathes, an acrylic, graphite and ink illustration, was created for Gallery Nucleus' 5th anniversary show.
