  • When will the 20x21 Exhibition Take Place?
    • The 20x21 Exhibition will extend beyond MICA Weekend (September 30 - October 1) and will continue through to October 9, 2022. 

  • Who can participate in the 20x21 Exhibition?
    • The exhibition is open to the Class of 2020 and 2021, both from the undergraduate and graduate level

 

  • Where will the 20x21 Exhibition take place?
    • The Exhibition will take place on the MICA campus at Decker Gallery, Fox Building

 

  • How do I submit my artwork for the 20x21 Exhibition?
    • You can commit and submit your artwork by completing this online form

 

  • When is the deadline to commit to the 20x21 Exhibition?
    • The deadline to commit to the exhibition is Monday, August 1, 2022

 

  • When is the deadline to submit my artwork?
    • The deadline to submit your artwork is between September 19-23, 2022

 

  • How do I mail my artwork?
    • You can mail your artwork to:
      Maryland Institute College of Art
      Office of Exhibitions
      1300 W. Mt Royal Avenue
      Baltimore, MD 21217
    • We recommend that you use UPS or FEDEX and include return postage. MICA will repack your artwork using the original packing and apply the included prepaid return shipping label

 

  • When will installation take place?
    • The installation will take place from September 26-29, 2022

 

  • What are the size requirements for the 20x21 Exhibition?
    • The maximum size of individual pieces is 20x21 inches

  • Can I submit more than one piece?
    • You can submit up to 2 pieces of artwork

 

  • Can I submit audio/visual pieces?
    • Yes, you can submit video/visual for the 20x21 Exhibition which will be shown on small screens

 

  • What is the $50 mailing stipend for?
    • For those that are in need of shipping assistance, there is a $50 stipend for the first 100 entrants! Please keep in mind the size of work, and shipping location before signing up to ensure the opportunity is available for those in need. We ask all participants to include return postage when mailing work to MICA. If you’ve requested the stipend, you will receive it after MICA has received your artwork for the exhibition.

 

  • When will the reception take place for the 20x21 Exhibition?
    • The reception for the 20x21 Exhibition will take place on Thursday, October, 6, 2022. Further details about the reception location will be shared close to the time.

 

  • If I did not submit my artwork for the 20x21 Exhibition, can I still attend?
    • Of course! The exhibition is open to all and you are more than welcome to attend and view the exhibition while it is up from September 30 through to October 9. If you are from the Class of 2020 and 2021 and did not submit a piece of art for the exhibition you are also welcome to join us for the reception on Thursday, October 6, 2022.
