Belle Sargent: a star, a tart, a fashion icon, a deluded diva. With a passion for fast sewing, loud makeup, and elaborate photoshoots, Belle turns her life into a runway. As a fiber major with love for all things pink and glittery, Belle uses sequins, lace, and determination to create showstopping garments.

Collection Notes

Girlhood, and stumbling around in your mother’s heels. Friends braiding your hair in gym class, teenage angst, and sharing an older cousin’s eyeshadow palette at a sleepover. The lingering scent of vanilla perfume, pink glitter smeared across your eyelids as you taste your lipgloss on another girl’s tongue.

All Dolled Up traces the way femininity is taught, handed down in loving gestures as a uniting force rather than a dividing factor. Belle Sargent’s collection parades flamboyant fashion based on the reclamation of hyper-feminine archetypes. Previously used to dehumanize and sexualize girlhood, these inherited tropes include: the prima donna, the queen bee, the angel, the femme fatale, the starlet, and the mistress.

Belle Sargent created her clothes as an indulgence into her wildest fantasies of unapologetic, uncontainable, ultra-femininity. Glitter, ruffles, and fringe abound, frosted with extravagant makeup and showstopping dances. All Dolled Up breaks through the confines of traditional womanhood to explore sexuality and identity through garment, flourishing in the true community found in feminine rituals and bonding.
