I love humor, I love jokes, I love to laugh, I love having fun, and that’s the guiding principle to Punchline. My collection looks at clothes as punchlines and methods of communication. Shapes, texture, color, and text relay information from our person to viewers.
The body is a plane- we can shape it, extend it, bloat it, adorn it, but most of all we need to embrace it as ours. Everyone now is talking about humor as a coping mechanism blah blah blah ok then be funny! Stop taking yourself so seriously!! Clothes allow us to play characters, and we can create an over-dramatized version of ourselves. The clothing pokes fun at itself and its wearer. Be a full bodied person, be ridiculous, flourish in your identity.
