MICA Weekend Kick-Off Reception: Bill Gaskins: Black Mystery Month Exhibition

This thought-provoking exhibition features thirty black-and-white photographs with scrambled, backwards text, creating interactive puzzles for viewers. The works highlight notable Black Americans such as Dr. Carter G. Woodson and Viola Fauver Liuzzo, challenging and expanding our understanding of American history. Additionally, Gaskins' video, Mystery Lessons, delves into the complexities of racial tensions and misconceptions surrounding Black History Month.
