Vinay Gupta designed the Hexayurt Refugee Shelter, a low-cost, sustainable architectural structure intended for use in disaster relief. He was also part of the team that created the blockchain Ethereum, is founder and CEO of Mattereum, and is the author of The Future of Stuff (2020). Gupta has been joined in his work on the Hexayurt by Bryan Hellard of Hexayurt: The Next Generation, and he has recently begun to expand his work on disaster relief by advocating for the use inexpensive, durable, and easily produced clothing that can be distributed quickly.
