Please read this message in its entirety—this communication applies to College operations for only tomorrow, February 12.

Due to the hazardous weather conditions, MICA is closed tomorrow, February 12, 2025. In-person day and evening classes are canceled. Remote and online learning will continue as scheduled. For additional information, please contact your course instructor. 

Employees who telework or are able to telework should begin work at their regularly scheduled time.  If you are unable to telework because of weather related challenges  —  for example, dependents with delayed school openings or school closures —  please contact your manager about using liberal leave. 

Faculty who are able to shift their classes online are encouraged to do so.

Dining Services

Meyerhoff Dining Room will be open for normal hours, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. (lunch) and 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. (dinner). Cafe Doris and Glace Grill are closed.

Transportation Services

MICA Circulator Shuttle services and Evening Safety Shuttles services are suspended.Any changes to Shuttle services, based on changing road conditions, will be communicated through the TapRide app and will be posted on MICA’s website.

Since conditions around campus may change throughout the day, MICA will continue to monitor the evolving situation, and will send further communications via email, on the MICA / App, on the website at www.mica.edu and on the College’s social media channels if there are any updates.

Please avoid traveling if possible, and use caution and your best judgment if you do. Stay Safe.
