About the CAC member and Site (2018-21):

Ebony is currently serving as a CAC-AmeriCorps Member at the Modell Lyric Performing Arts Center.  In 2020-21, she is serving her third year in CAC at this Site.  Ebony is part of the Education Team at The Modell Lyric.  Together with her Site Supervisors, Ebony leads theater and performance programs for youth at several different Elementary/Middle Schools across Baltimore City.  These programs focus on creating original theater pieces based on the youth's experiences and personal writing.

Winter Performance

This past winter, our students prepared for their winter performance and they did such a great job. I was so blown away by their tremendous talent and courageous energy on stage. These students worked so hard to remember lines and to prepare for their big performance. This performance was so successful because we allowed our young people to have agency. They thoroughly enjoyed the process and they all worked so well to rid themselves of stage fright and anything that may have bothered them onstage.
