Wednesdays from March 26th to April 23rd; 2:30pm - 3:45pm Join the SAD Squad! In this clinical group, you will learn skills to boost mood, learn ways to engage in self-care, learn skills to cope with suicidal thoughts and reduce self-harm, and make connections with other students! We’ll meet every Wednesday for five consecutive weeks (March 26th, April 2nd, April 9th, April 16th, and Apr 23rd) from 2:30pm - 3:45pm in Bunting Rm (tbd). Sharing is not required. No need to have been diagnosed with depression or any mental health condition. Other things you will learn include: • What depression is, risk factors, and how it manifests in people • Emotional awareness • Challenging thoughts that lead to low mood • What to do when you’re feeling stuck and hopeless • How to handle suicidal thoughts and the urge to self harm • How to engage in activities to improve your overall well being • Plus, members will receive a gift on the last day! *REGISTRATION REQUIRED (Please fill out this form https://forms.gle/9LXkeD4Z652aGFwR9 if you are interested in joining one of our clinical groups facilitated by MICA Student Counseling.)
