Animators, filmmakers, sculptors, sound artists, and more...all are welcome to attend what will be a riveting presentation by Eric Dyer '04 (Mount Royal MFA). This lecture will take place on Wednesday, November 6, noon-1:00pm in Falvey Hall. This event is free and open to the public. Dyer's work was recently showcased in the 2024 Sweaty Eyeballs Animation Festival. Dubbed *The Modern Master of the Zoetrope* by Creative Capital, Dyer brings animation into the material world with his sequential images, sculptures, installations, and performances. His animated, often participatory works explore themes such as non-violence, motion hidden in everyday life, the city symphony, moving-image history, his own degenerative retinal condition, and the relevance of physical presence in an increasingly digital world. This event is supported by the UGS Lecture Series, Animation, Interactive Arts, and Mount Royal.
