The work in this annual exhibition is a selection of the best submissions from all four years of undergraduate students. From hundreds of entries, selected artists are chosen in a variety of disciplines based on artistic merit, creativity, and vision. This year the exhibition is featured in our Decker Gallery (Fox Building, Floor 1, Glass doors to the right of Cafe Doris). The jurors for this year's competition are Michael Benevento, artist, curator, and co-director of Current Space, and Inés Sanchez de Lozada, curator, and Coordinator for BmoreArt’s Connect + Collect Gallery.

ABOUT THE JURORS
Michael Benevento is an artist, curator and Co-director of Current Space. Born in Houston, he moved to Baltimore in 2001 to study at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and joined Current Space in 2005. Michael spends most of his time sculpting a multidisciplinary space for artists. Current Space is an artist-run, member-supported gallery, studio, outdoor performance space, and garden bar. Current Space started as a DIY space occupying a vacant city-owned building awaiting demolition, near the Inner Harbor. Relocating in 2010, Current Space now flourishes as an artist-owned space on the westside of Downtown in the Bromo Arts and Entertainment District.
Bolivian-born curator Inés Sanchez de Lozada holds a BA in Political Science from Guilford College, and an MFA in Curatorial Practice from MICA. Her work explores radical community-building practices that are upheld by principles of love, care, rest, and pleasure. Her curatorial expertise extends internationally, with exhibitions in Argentina, Bolivia, and Brazil. Notably, in 2022, Inés contributed as a curatorial assistant for Haitian artist Edouard Duval-Carrié’s presentation at Documenta 15. She is the Coordinator for BmoreArt’s Connect + Collect Gallery as well as a contributor to BmoreArt Magazine.
