Hello there! My name is Chao Huang and I am a graphic designer from China. I have a passion for web design, publication design and typography. Solving design problems is always my favorite part of design, because a good idea is the product of ruminating over various possibilities and constant revision.
My thesis project is about psychological boundaries. Everyone has two kinds of living space, physical space and mental space. Personal boundaries mianly divided to physical and psychological boundaries. In contrast to the physical boundaries, psychological boundaries are invisible and untouchable. So we used to ignore psychological boundaries. However, psychological boundaries affect our interactions with others and can cause many relationship problems. This project aims to help people visualize their psychological boundaries and establish healthy psychological boundaries.
Psychologists classify mental boundaries of humans to four main types: soft, rigid, spongy and flexible. The classification is abstract, everyone has a unique psychological boundary. So I want to provide people a chance to visualize their boundaries. I want people to understand their boundaries in a simple and direct way. I built a website to show people step-by-step what their boundaries look like and how to build healthy boundaries.
