Statement

Ivy Liu is challenging the brand new art materials and mediums in this series of paintings to express what she "saw" from a few types of music, and what is the “beauty” in her eyes. Except for the incredible impact by those various vivid colors; pastel, liquid acrylic and pouring medium also create a good fluidity on canvas and wood panel. These paints show people a lot of gorgeous free movements and textures, but still they can tell half of them are controlled by the artist.
