Statement
In the early stages of my works, the general focus was surrounding that of the personal, or a series dissections and reconciliations on the cultural hybridity I happened to be immersed in, and utilize these sectors as means of independent introspections followed by series of artistic endeavors and visual translations. However, in my most recent explorations, I took on a shift from the study of correlation of social and personal behaviors to the more elusive realm of the spiritual, that includes a series of implementations on practices of meditation, Zen, Enlightenment. Utilizing the fruit fermented by these practices to reflect upon the relations amongst the individual and the universal, the mentation process is later on transformed and represented by visual means, including performance, sculpture, photography and multimedia installations.
