We are a community of filmmakers, artists, and scholars whose objective is to foster a passion for the creation of moving images.
The MFA in Filmmaking is housed in the historic Centre Theatre the site of two world class institutions' film-training and cinema research programs. MICA’s partnership with Johns Hopkins University is the home of four academic film programs and two community projects that share resources and build curricular collaborations. They are a Baltimore filmmaking resource and have a far-reaching impact on global cinema cultures. The Film Centre is a 10,000 square foot production facility in a renovated movie palace from the 1920s.
