Exchange with HfK/Bremen

In Academic Year 2019 MFAST launched a student exchange residency program with the University of the Arts/Bremen (HfK) Expanded Cinematic Spaces and Conceptual Photography department.
An MFAST student spent four weeks in Bremen, Germany working with Professor Rosa Barba, the director of the HfK program, while making use of the HfK facilities and resources. At the end of her stay, the MFAST student mounted an exhibition of work produced while at HfK.
In turn, HfK student spent four weeks with MFAST at MICA working with program faculty, meeting with visiting artists and producing and exhibited new work related to his Baltimore experience.
Both programs are invested in continuing this successful student exchange in the coming years.
