Dr. Shannon Ingram (she/her)
Executive Director, MOSAIC Center for Diversity, Equity and Community
Dr. Shannon Ingram (she/her) is the Executive Director, MOSAIC Center for Diversity, Equity and Community. She is a licensed graduate professional counselor who has been working in education and community for over 20 years. She earned a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from Penn State University, a M.A. in Community Counseling from Marymount University, and an Ed.D. in Administrative Leadership from Shenandoah University.
Her primary role is to provide strategic leadership of the MOSAIC Center for Diversity, Equity & Community. She is committed to integrating principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and globalization into the DNA of MICA.
Marissa Vazhappilly (they/them)
Culture & Identity Specialist
Marissa Vazhappilly is the Culture & Identity Specialist at the MOSAIC Center. They have a BFA in Animation from MICA and have worked in the DEIG field as an activist and undergrad employee for five years. They’ve worked in the area of Culture & Identity since they were a sophomore and got their start as a mentee.
They support student employees, advise identity-based student organizations, help lead the Annual Benefit Fashion Show, and manage programs and day-to-day activities. In their spare time they’re a mixed media animator and try to make and mend their own clothes.
