Room Condition Students will review their Room Condition Form (RCF) that was completed at move-in. This form will be used at move-out to assess any damages. Because these forms do not list every possible thing that you can be charged for, you may be responsible for damages not listed on the form. Important Note: Homasote boards are located in each bedroom and common space. They are for pinning artwork to for coursework only, where only minor marks are expected. Boards should not be drawn on, painted or otherwise altered and charges for repainting will apply if this occurs.
Sending Work Home A postal company will be available to pack and arrange for the mailing of student artwork on the morning of move-out. This service is a third party company, can be expensive and requires payment at the time of shipping via credit card. It is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements for the transportation or shipping of all personal items and artwork back home. Any valuable items that may be broken should be taken with them on the plane or train. MICA does not offer storage facilities, and any items remaining unclaimed at the program’s end will be discarded. For all digital works, it is the responsibility of the student to keep copies of their work, as MICA does not maintain digital storage of student work.
