Analog horror rises as a distinctive internet-based horror subgenre, characterized by its nostalgic use of low-quality physical formats like VHS tapes, public access television, and emergency broadcast signals to create an uncanny narrative experience. Here, I look at the history and emergence of analog horror on the internet - where did it come from and what does the narrative largely consist of?
