Statement
Natural Inclinations was created as a way to brand and market my hand made ceramics. My artwork includes sculptures and lanterns, many of which are so thin that light can pass through it and create images from the inside. I am building a business to support my artwork and help me sell in galleries and museum and online through social media and my website. I truly believe that each piece I make is created for someone and Natural Inclinations will help me connect each unique piece to where it belongs.
Intorduction: My name is Arkady Thompson and I am the ceramic artist behind Natural Inclinations Studio. I create handmade sculptures and lanterns out of clay, using little glaze and placing an emphasis on the natural beauty of the clay and the subject matter. My artwork is a culmination of many passions and interests and my own drive to innovate, experiment, and push the boundaries of not only the medium, but my skills as an artist. Each piece is created from the mundane elements of earth, air, and water, conceptualized and formed by the artist’s spirit, and transfigured and transformed in the unpredictable element of fire. I truly believe that each piece I create is meant for someone; and with your help, each of my captivating pieces can be shared with the world through the vision of Natural Inclination Studio.
I am in search of connections with museums, galleries, and other places that will increase my visibility across the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, and Delaware areas. I need your connections to museum curators and gallery owners. I need you to help me connect to my target audience in as many ways possible. I need visibility and the chance to meet and connect with the right people to spread my brand, artwork, and vision.
