Statement
For my capstone, I wanted to take a closer look at the food we waste, particularly the food we purchase and lose track of. I wanted to create a digital solution to help keep track of best buy/use by dates but also, help users be better at planning meals & shopping (sustainably) in the first place.
Mise (a play on the culinary phrase Mise-en-place) is an eco-conscious digital pantry, meal planning, and grocery list app. Need the motivation to stay on track? Mise offers achievements and coupons for sustainable practices like shopping local or consistently planning meals.
