Statement
As Oregon summers get hotter and drier each year, community members face heightened health and safety risks without tools to understand or mitigate them. While it is difficult to predict the next heatwave or wildfire, it is clear that vulnerable Oregonians need to stay informed, prepared, and understand their health risks as these extreme climate events continue on.
Heat Check is a climate and emergency preparedness app that helps users understand and manage their health risks during periods of extreme heat and wildfire outbreaks. Its features include personalized heat risk assessments, localized safety tips and recommendations, and real-time community updates.
