How can a doctor provide effective healthcare when communication is impacted by either language barriers or by a patient being nonverbal?
Chart is a Digital Medical log that seeks to bridge the gaps in communication with patients who live with their speech compromised. Through research, we sought to identify gaps in communication and how to solve them. A digital chat window that the Providers and Patients share is where the solution lies. Each chat has four assistive communication features based on subjects in the healthcare field: A translation feature, a visual interactive anatomy chart, a pain scale, and the "Zones of Regulation" focusing on emotional health.
These four features are the starting point for better patient-doctor communication and advocacy.
