Statement
My capstone project encapsulates a number of my previous professional and personal experiences bridging data, design, and craft. I wanted to take a reactive step back and create something at least partially with my hands and landed on textiles as a medium for my MICA output. Using a few skills gleaned from this program, dormant computer-aided design knowledge from a previous career in furniture design, and a desire to return to quilting as a hobby after graduate school, I have modified and created a few algorithms that output two-dimensional forms that serve as the starting point of textile and quilt designs.
