“Standard Time: The Songs That Have Defined Jazz” is a six-page magazine article that tells the story of jazz music by focusing on the songs that have endured and become touchstones of the art form. Using text and infographics, the article explores the surprising origins of the most popular standards, the artists who wrote and performed them, and the musical structures that make them what they are.
