Helen re-joined the Student Outreach and Support team at MICA in February of 2024 after having spent time as the Program Lead for Student Support at the University of Baltimore.

Helen has a background in fine arts and the helping profession which provides a uniquely useful intersection of knowledge and experience to support MICA students in this role. In 2014 Helen received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and in 2019 she received a MA from University College of London, Institute of Education.

Helen’s furry co-pilot in life, Colby, can be found residing in her office most days. Colby is a small dog of mysterious origins who adores to be adored.

Ife joined MICA as the Coordinator for Student Outreach and Support in March of 2025.

After graduating from Loyola University Maryland with a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy, Ife spent their first year post-grad working in the behavioral health industry and sought to transition to a space that emboldens creative individuals to thrive in our dynamic world.

While at Loyola, Ife spent a majority of their time as Resident Assistant for the Office of Student Life, where they developed vibrant student communities, equipped with the capacity to remain resilient in the face of adversity.

Ife maintains a keen awareness of the number of complexities that can emerge while in pursuit of a secondary education. As such, Ife works to guide MICA students through complex situations, while supporting them on their journey to becoming successful creative professionals.
