Our Mission

The MICA Student Counseling Center provides effective, high quality, readily accessible, culturally informed mental health and outreach services to MICA students.

Did You Know?

  • The Student Counseling Center (SCC) is here to serve and support the emotional and psychological well-being of MICA students.
  • SCC is dedicated to promoting the psychological wellbeing of MICA students. As a result, SCC provides a broad range of high quality, relevant, and ethical services and resources to the MICA community via our PATHs model, a needs based service delivery model that allows us to develop individualized support plans for our students.
  • All student counseling services are free and confidential, available to any MICA student enrolled in a full-time undergraduate, graduate, or post-baccalaureate program.

 

Spring Hours

Regular Spring 2025 SCC hours are as follows:

Monday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  (closed 12 noon - 1 p.m.)
Tuesday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  (closed 12 noon - 1 p.m.);   
Wednesday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  (closed 12 noon - 1 p.m.)
Thursday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  (closed 12 noon - 1 p.m.)
Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.  (closed 12 noon - 1 p.m.)
Weekday Drop-in Hours 2 p.m. –4 p.m.  (no appointment needed; first come, first served)
Saturday Closed
Sunday Closed

 

The Student Counseling Center is a NO PET ZONE (this also includes therapy and Emotional Support Animals). Only service animals specifically trained to aid a person for accessibility reasons are permitted.
