Clinical Treatment Groups

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” — Helen Keller

Groups offer the unique opportunity to be with others who “get it.”  Group members struggle in the same areas, and are working to make them better.  Group leaders are trained mental health therapists with the knowledge and expertise to guide the group with skills, strategies, and activities.  They facilitate meaningful, supportive connections among group members to help you reach your goals.

Clinical Treatment Groups are a little different than support groups.  They are small, with only about 6-8 members.  The same people participate each week for a length of time, usually around 5 weeks.  The group leader provides information and guides the discussion each week, and members participate to work on skills and ideas discussed.  Group members benefit from working on their own goals while also supporting one another.

Clinical Anxiety Treatment Group

Clinical Anxiety Treatment Group

In this group, facilitators provide information about anxiety and strategies for management. Group members will have the opportunity to process experiences of anxiety in a supportive environment with others who understand them, and will be encouraged and uplifted as they work towards their goals. Group leaders will guide members in practicing new strategies, and learning more about their own experience of anxiety so that they may better address challenges.

"Clinical Anxiety Treatment Group" is facilitated by Kristen Capps, Ph.D..
