Katie Morris is a printmaker who lives in Baltimore City.
Her art has been exhibited in galleries in DC, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Nebraska. For the past six years she has been working full time as faculty member in the Center for Art Education at MICA, working with both Undergraduate and Graduate students pursuing their Masters of Arts in Teaching. Katie has served as the Chair of the Student Affairs Committee of the Faculty Assembly along with being a member of the Faculty Executive Committee. Katie has conducted several Printmaking workshops for Pre-Service and In-service art teachers within the Visual Thinking through Media course at MICA, as part of an in-service session for Howard County Public Schools, at the Maryland Art Education Association, and at the National Art Education Association in New Orleans. Katie has presented sessions for the Maryland Art Education Association and the National Art Education Association on topics related to Arts & Human Development and Authenticating Teaching for Pre-Service and In-Service teachers. Most recently she was the Co-Coordinator for MICA's first ever Summer Teachers Institute serving in-service Maryland art educators while simultaneously facilitating a ten day printmaking studio study group within the program.
