TLaloC (AKA Eduardo Corral) is an award-winning illustrator, interdisciplinary artist, graphic designer and Educator born in the industrial city of Monterrey, Mexico. He holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Illustration, by the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), and was recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship in the year 2012. He currently works as a Full-time Teacher in the First Year Experience (FYE) department, in parallel with the Illustration Department at MICA.
Among other projects and distinctions, he designed the Trophy Award of the first ever SPOTIFY Awards (2020). He has won silver and gold awards in Latin American Design Awards (LAD Awards) in 2019 and 2020 respectively in the Professional Illustration category. He was selected winner of the 01 (2018), 02 (2020) and 03(2022) PICTOLINE Illustration Bienniale in Latin America (exhibition and printed book). He was also part of the Portfolio Jury for the 2018 Young Ones Student Awards.
He was a selected winner for Society of Illustrators 62, 63 and 64 UNCOMMISIONED SHOW/SOI128 (exhibit and book), and “Chosen winner” for the American Illustration 38 AI-AP. He was a -Merit- winner for the “ADC -The One Show / The One Club for Creativity’s- 100th Anniversary. He was selected “Show winner” for the CQ60 (Creative Quarterly) in the Professional Illustration Category, and won Merit recognition for the 3x3 International Illustration Annual 16, 3x3 printed annual and online gallery. He has been selected as winner at AI-AP (American Illustration / American Photography) - Latin American Ilustración 2, TR3S, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 consecutively - and also in the itinerant exhibition "Los Diez" (Orensanz N.Y. Foundation).
He was Selected Finalist in LAD American Design 5 (2021) and 2 (2017). Has received honorable mentions at the illustration 3x3 The Magazine for Contemporary Illustration competition. Was shortlisted for the 2021 CA (Communication Arts) Illustration competition, and longlisted for the World Illustrators Award AOI (Associations of Illustrators) 2020. And has been a semi-finalist at the Adobe Design Achievement Awards (ADAA). He was also part of the first generation of PICTOPLASMA Academy Mexico.
His work has taken part in 45+ collective national and international exhibitions (in México, China, Germany, Colombia and the USA, among other countries) and 6 SOLO exhibitions.
